Autism Swim Neurodiversity + aquatics Certification
The Neurodiversity + Aquatics Certification is the core learning pathway with Autism Swim.
It includes 10 core modules designed to equip you with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to deliver inclusive, neuroaffirming aquatic services.
We recommend starting with the Neurodiversity + Aquatics Certification to build a strong, shared foundation of best practice.
Extension Courses are designed to extend and deepen your learning. Each Extension Course includes up to four topics focused on a specific area of practice.
While Extension Courses can be taken as standalone learning, they are most impactful when completed after the Certification, allowing you to build on your foundation and develop specialised expertise.
The Neurodiversity + Aquatics Certification from Autism Swim includes 10 modules, with most learners spending around 45–90 minutes on each one. At the end of the 10 modules, you’ll complete a multiple-choice Final Quiz.
Each module features videos, learning activities, case studies, reflection questions, and a multiple-choice quiz (with an 80% pass mark required).
In total, the certification takes approximately 12 hours to complete. It is fully self-paced, and you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion once all 10 modules — plus the Final Quiz — have been successfully completed.

Assessment is completed online as part of your learning with Autism Swim and is fully self-paced.
There are two components to the assessment process:
a) Module quizzes
At the end of every module, you’ll complete a multiple-choice quiz to check your understanding. Each quiz includes 8 questions from that module, and an 80% pass mark is required to progress.
b) Final multiple-choice quiz
Once you’ve completed all modules, you’ll take a final multiple-choice quiz made up of 10 questions. These are situational questions designed to help you apply your learning from across the entire certification and an 80% pass mark is required to achieve the Certificate of Completion.
All assessments are designed to support understanding and practical application — not memorisation — so you can confidently use what you’ve learned in real-world aquatic environments.
